Option 1: Release Order (Recommended)

Start with Crumbs and Croutons. That’s where the story begins.

Then continue the Caffeine and Consequences Trilogy:

  • Crumbs and Croutons

  • Pandemonium

  • Horu Morbic

Follow the Caffeine and Consequences Trilogy with Tales from the Porch, a collection of short stories based on characters from the Crumbs universe.

After that, move into The Lisa Gannon Story:

  • Ground Pounder

  • Special Operator

  • Shadow Warrior

Then get a new point of view with Epiphany.

Finally, finish with Dean Jimmy’s Analysis of Post-War Change

Best for: first-time readers, best tone-to-story progression, and the intended “big picture” experience.

Option 2: Chronological Order (Mostly)

Start with The Lisa Gannon Story, then move into The Caffeine and Consequences Trilogy, followed by Epiphany, then Dean Jimmy’s Analysis of Post-War Change and finish with Tales From the Porch.

This path gives you more of the universe’s history up front and makes some later events hit a little differently.

Best for: readers who prefer backstory, chronology, and seeing how things connect over time.

Option 3: Random Order (Not Recommended)

Grab a book and start reading. You could even start at the end and work backwards.

This is technically possible.

It is also a terrible idea.

Best for: chaos agents and people who assemble furniture without looking at the instructions.
